Moving a phone call to another phone or device (Call Park)

Parking a Call

Have you ever been on a phone call in one room, and need to move to another room?  Or have you ever used the mobile phone client and wanted to switch the call to using your desk phone?

You can move the call easily between devices (desk phones, the Nteract mobile app, or any of the Smart Office apps)!

To move the call, known as Call Parking, just do the following:

  • Place the call on hold
  • Pick up another phone line (or start another call in the software phone apps)
    • Dial the special number *27
    • Listen to the message played back to you, it will give you a 5 digit code then hang up
  • Go to the other room, or use another desk phone or mobile/software phone client
  • Pick up another phone line (or start another call in the software phone apps)
    • Dial the special number *33
    • When prompted, punch in the 5 digit code given to you a moment ago
  • The call will now be reconnected to the phone/client you are now using

Don’t worry if you can’t get to the new room or something doesn’t work out.  If you do not pick up the call on another device within 30 seconds the call will automatically ring back to your extension number (and will go to voicemail if you are unable to answer it.
